To fit Casting Guides to a rod, start by identifying the blank's nerve by bending it slightly. Once you've done this, position the Guides along the outside of the curve of the blank's nerve. Particular attention should be paid to spiral casting assemblies, where the first rings start on the outside and end on the inside of the blank's curve.
