The story of the brand

Twenty years of RIBs from Viana do Castelo

Searib's was founded in Portugal in 2005. The brand focuses on a single type of boat, the rigid inflatable boat, or RIB. Its starting point is the experience of leisure boaters who use these hulls. Their feedback is used to refine the range and then to widen it.

Searib's also works with professionals at sea. Rescue crews, military units and inspection services share their operational limits with the brand. Production is based in Viana do Castelo, in the Navallethes workshops. The range runs from the compact 580 Pro to the SR1080 Rescue, built for search and rescue.

In March 2024, the GNR, Portugal's national guard, took delivery of four 13-metre SR42 boats to patrol its coast. In 2025, the brand marked its twentieth year and unveiled a new visual identity at the Nauticampo show. In 2026, three refitted SR860 boats joined the ISN lifeboat stations in Viana do Castelo, Nazaré and Cascais. Rodhouse now carries the brand's clothing collection.
