SUZUKI Blanks was born at Richards, a Japanese fishing rod company founded in 1977. Its offices are in Nishi-Mizumoto, a district of Katsushika in Tokyo. A large part of its work is making rods for other fishing brands.

For its own blanks, Richards launched the SUZUKI Blanks brand. Material development, design, rolling, painting and assembly: the company runs each step itself. Today the catalogue holds about forty models, split into series.

Each series answers one kind of fishing: RXF for predators, RXGT for GT casting, RXJ for jigging. Richards also builds these blanks into its own rods, such as the Pentastick, a five-piece travel rod made in Tokyo. SUZUKI blanks are exported as far as Europe, where Rodhouse stocks them.
