Product description
Our opinion on the Fox Rage Bladed Jig
One of the rare chatterbaits that really works across a whole range of coherent weights, from finesse 7g up to 21g for more demanding conditions. The blade activates immediately from the first turns of the handle, without wrist action, which makes a real difference over long sessions. Effective alone, even more so with a trailer.

The articulated blade: immediate activation at all speeds
The Fox Rage Bladed Jig stands out from entry-level chatterbaits with a blade articulated on a pivot that vibrates from the first turns of the handle, without requiring wrist action to activate it. This immediate activation simplifies animations and allows you to maintain effective swimming at a wide range of retrieve speeds: slow for cold days when predators are inactive, fast for prospecting large open areas. The vibrations generated by the blade are perceived at distance by pike and zander lateral lines, making it a lure detectable even in slightly colored or turbid water. The multi-strand silicone skirt amplifies the animation by adding a high-amplitude undulating movement, visible both on continuous retrieve and during pauses.
The 7g: the finesse argument for difficult days and perch
The 7g format is the new addition to the range and answers a specific need: offer a chatterbait usable on wary predators or on smaller species like perch and black bass. Its smaller blade generates more subtle vibrations than larger formats, which causes less apprehension in fish on heavily fished waters. The 2/0 hook is suited to small finesse trailers or standalone use, on linear retrieve in mid-water or near weedbeds. It's also a useful format when predators are locked onto small forage fish and refuse larger presentations.
Use with trailer: customize profile and attraction
The Bladed Jig can be used alone for a streamlined presentation, or equipped with a soft lure trailer on the main hook to increase volume and vibration duration at each pause. Fine soft lures like Fox Rage Pro Grubs, compact shads or creatures make suitable trailers that complement the Bladed Jig's swimming without adding weight. In clear water, a natural-colored trailer like Super Natural Roach extends the lure's imitative profile. In colored water, a chartreuse or orange color amplifies the overall detectability. Weight choice will mainly depend on spot depth and current: the 12g is versatile in lakes for spots up to 3-4m, the 17g and 21g suit deeper spots better or fishing from a boat.
