The Curado benefits from Digital Control, which uses a microcomputer to control spool speed during your cast. And when you're fishing, you'll appreciate the Curado DC's solid construction and comfortable grip. Available in standard size 150 and larger size 200, with different retrieve speed options, the Curado DC is one of the best investments you can make if you're looking to upgrade to the latest casting reel technology.
If you've never experienced Shimano Digital Control technology, you really should. Easily adjustable via an external thumbwheel, you can set the reel in totally free mode or to one of three different settings - 1 for braid or mono, 2 for fluoro and 3 for more challenging casting situations, such as in strong winds. Once set, the microcomputer makes nano-second adjustments to the spool speed during casting, avoiding play, maximizing casting performance and allowing you to concentrate on your fishing with greater enjoyment. But there's more to the Curado DC than its digital control.
The Hagane body is lightweight, rock-solid and naturally adapts to your hand. The combination of Micro Module gearing and X-Ship provides the smoothness and power you feel when using the reel, and the Cross Carbon drag means you'll always have control over hard-fighting fish. Finally, the S3D spool allows the digital control to operate at maximum efficiency by reducing spool oscillation when spinning.
