RECOIL GUIDES® (US PATENT #6,612,065) Rec guides are made from a special nickel titanium alloy (nitiniol) with unique physical properties that open up fantastic possibilities for rod designers worldwide. Until now, rod guides were coated or used ceramic to resist wear. Recoil guides are made from an extremely hard, yet flexible, shape-memory alloy that requires no coating, is insensitive to corrosion, and returns to its original shape after deformation. RECOIL guides are available for Fly, Casting and Spinning fishing.
