Product description
The Rodhouse take
The Tailwink is one of the few slugs that keep a lively action while sitting on the bottom, at very low speed. Its BPA-free Safe PVC material and built-in natural attractant (anchovy, anise, shellfish) make it as clean to handle as it is effective on wary fish. A versatile finesse bait that covers Texas rig, drop shot and vertical fishing with a single body.

On the water with the Tailwink
A lively action even at a standstill
The Tailwink belongs to the slug family, those elongated soft lures with no pronounced appendage that rely entirely on the softness of the material. Its ultra-soft body undulates at the slightest pull or current, keeping it attractive on a slow retrieve as well as during a pause on the bottom. This responsiveness makes the difference on inactive fish, which often strike a lure that vibrates without moving forward. The natural attractant released by the material, a blend of anchovy, anise and shellfish, extends the bite and improves hook-up for cleaner hooksets.
Three rigs, one body
Versatility is the Tailwink's real strength. Depending on the spot and how active the fish are, you adapt the rig without changing lures:
- Texas rig on a wide gap hook to work weedy, cluttered zones,
- on a finesse jighead for a slow retrieve or a soft mid-water action,
- drop shot or vertical to work a precise spot,
- on a heavier jighead for sharp shooting and deep fishing.
This ease of use makes it a top choice for zander and perch in freshwater. Finesse anglers will gladly file it alongside their lures for zander, and it also has its place among lures for sea bass along the coast.
