Michel Amiaud founded his company in 1971 in Saint-Martin-des-Noyers, in the Vendée region of France. His starting point was a technical skill: working aluminium and stainless steel. The company grew thanks to this trade and a strong taste for innovation.

Seanox is the brand Amiaud devotes to equipping sea fishing boats. The first rod supports came out in the 1970s. The ranges then expanded with multiple rod holders, slides, clamps and tuna grips. The rod holders are produced in France, in the company's Vendée workshops, in 316L stainless steel.

The company is still family run: the founder's two sons manage it today. It has two activities, recreational fishing and industrial metalwork subcontracting. Rodhouse carries the Seanox boat range, along with the Amiaud glue for soft lures.

Where are Amiaud Seanox rod holders made?

The rod holders use 316L stainless steel, chosen for its resistance in a marine environment. Each tube has a slotted end that locks the reel foot.

How do I make a Seanox rod holder removable?

The Seanox slide kit lets you switch from a fixed mount to a removable one. It combines a stainless female part and a Teflon male part.

It works on Seanox holders for 2 to 6 rods, with enough kits for each model. You can then fit and remove your holders on every trip. The kit comes without fasteners, so plan screws suited to your boat.

What is the Seanox tuna grip used for?

The Seanox tuna grip holds a large sea fish still so you can unhook it without lifting it out of the water. It is built for catches up to 300 kg.

The handle is aluminium and the stainless jaw has ridges that stop it from slipping. The grip cannot open unless you pull the trigger. Rodhouse offers the V.3, the V.3 PM and the Grand Modèle.

To store several rods, pick a stainless holder with 2 to 6 slots.
For a single rod near the edge, the swivel holder clamps onto the rail.
For a discreet setup, the flush mount holder sits inside the hull or deck.
To fit and remove your holders on each trip, add the stainless and Teflon slide kit.
For chumming, Seanox offers a dedicated pivoting rod holder.
For large fish, the Seanox tuna grip is built for catches up to 300 kg.

Seanox clamps come in two diameter ranges: 22 to 35 mm and 36 to 50 mm. Measure your rail tube before you order. A4 stainless inserts and end caps are sold separately to maintain your holders.
