Description du produit

Our take on the Dryer Rodbuilders' Republic

A professional-grade dryer delivered complete and ready to spin: motor, chuck and three rodstands. The 6 rpm speed paired with the aluminium collet chuck gives the slow, well-centred rotation you want for a controlled epoxy finish.

What the kit includes

  • DC 5V motor running at 6 rpm, supplied with a 200-240V mains adapter (European plug, cable around 1.30m)
  • Aluminium drying chuck of the collet type, for precise centring of the blank
  • 3 Rodbuilders' Republic rodstands with felt on the underside and at the V
  • Motor mounting hardware
  • 4 elastic bands to hold the blank
  • Slow rotation designed for applying epoxy and drying the finish
  • Rodstands adjustable to 7 height positions
  • Compatible from light rods to the bulkiest blanks

A rodbuilding dryer built for a clean finish

The finish is the part everyone sees. This rodbuilding dryer brings together motor, chuck and supports to turn your blank steadily while the epoxy finish dries.

A slow 6 rpm rotation for an even cure

At 6 revolutions per minute, the resin has time to spread evenly under gravity, which limits the risk of an uneven finish often caused by too high an rpm. The aluminium collet chuck offers very good compatibility with a wide range of builds.

An adjustable, tidy workstation

Everything is designed to fit your gear and keep a clean workbench. The motor height adjusts through two holes (screws and nuts supplied), while the rodstands offer 7 height positions for the elastic bands: you hold the blank or let it rest as needed, from light models to bulky blanks. The metal supports protect the rod thanks to felt at the V, for a scratch-free rest. Four holes on the rodstands also let you secure the motor cable with cable ties (not supplied), for a clear, safe workstation. Questions fréquemment posées

Why does the motor run at 6 rpm?

Because 6 revolutions per minute is a reference drying speed in rodbuilding. It gives the epoxy and finish time to spread evenly under gravity over your wraps and greatly limits the risk of an uneven finish while it sets.
