The U3SKC is a Forecast classic for fly rod builds. It's an aluminum Skeleton reel seat, light at 14 g, that takes a wood insert for a traditional handle. Well machined, easy to glue, nothing complicated!

The 0.760 in cut-out is the point to check

Before you choose, look at the cut-out of your grip, the hole the reel seat sits in. The U3SKC is made for a 0.760 in cut-out (about 19.3 mm), and it fits handles whose part number ends in .760.

Is your grip 0.760? Then the U3SKC is right in the sweet spot. You'll find them in the fly grips, with the cut-out given on each product page.

Watch out: a grip with a wider cut-out, 0.865 for example, won't fit. In that case, go for another reel seat.

Wood insert, Black or Shiny Gray finish

The U3SKC is a Skeleton that takes a wood insert. The insert is what gives the handle its look. You pair it with U3-INS inserts, in walnut or ebony.

It comes in Black or Shiny Gray (SG on the product page). The barrel is CNC machined from aluminum with tight tolerances, and it weighs just 14 g. Whatever the color, the dimensions are the same.
