Blanks are constructed from blends of materials (IM, HM and X-ray). This means that one section of a blank can comprise two or three different materials to achieve a specific stiffness.
Blanks are not sanded for durability during transport, the outer resin layer is stronger than any secondary coating/paint.
The decal areas are adorned with a cosmetic envelope of prepreg which, when covered with an epoxy finish, gives a clean look where the carbon pattern shines through the finish.
The ends of the shanks are precision-ground, ensuring a perfect fit every time. Depending on the model, the type of shank can be straight or inverted (one or the other is used depending on the stiffness of the blank to reduce flats at the ferrule). On some Blanks, an inverted/step up/butt over tip shank is used to preserve the original action of the blank.
