Fuji ACSM: the ultimate Casting reel seat.
Performing yes! And with a hell of a look ... Focus on the most rock'nroll reel seat sold by Rodhouse: the Fuji ACSM Casting.
Qualities that jump out at you!
The ACSM is a reel carrier that doesn't hide its qualities:
- A precision-cut ergo for a flawless hold, and openwork to save weight;
- Perfect ergonomics thanks to its molded-in finger passages;
- A direct contact with the blank to maximize the sound of the rod.
Fuji has clearly designed the ACSM for comfort and information transmission. Available in several sizes, to be chosen according to blank diameter, it will suit all types of assembly, from bait finess rods to big bait.
The Fuji ACSM, thanks to its internal construction, is a very simple reel seat to assemble. Grooves on the inside lock the reel seat to the blank where it needs to be glued.
The internal diameter can be read on the rear of the reel seat. To choose the right one, here are the steps to follow:
- Measure or look at the blank's technical data sheet, the diameter of the blank where you want to put the reel seat. For example, at 30 cm from the rod butt you'll find 12.8mm diameter.
- Choose the reel seat diameter immediately below the value found. If I have a choice between 13mm (too big) and12.5mm, I choose 12.5.
- With the reamer, you'll adjust the internal diameter so that the reel seat is perfectly positioned where you want it.
You can now glue your Fuji ACSM, aligning it with the spine of the blank. This can be closed with a Fuji WCS or Matagi D16 FR ring.
All that's left is to dress it up!
Although the clamping screw supplied with the reel seat is perfect, it might be interesting to give your Fuji ACSM a more customized look.
We'll therefore replace the clamping ring with a KDPS which we'll dress up to suit our own tastes. A few examples below...
And when you feel like an artist, you can sublimate this resolutely rock'n roll reel seat!"
