Guide packs generally come with recommended spacing charts. However, it is entirely possible to customize your own Guide layout to suit your handle length and fishing style.

Rodhouse offers a variety of about ten different Guide ceramics. Among the best-known, from the most affordable to the most high-end, are Alconite, SIC and Torzite.

As a general rule, blank rings are not susceptible to oxidation if the necessary precautions are taken. However, it is important to note that titanium guides are reputed to be 100% rustproof and resistant to oxidation, offering a more durable and suitable solution.
