The FAF 1000-4 blank is the result of the know-how of the North Fork Composites factory, which includes the legendary Gary Loomis among its ranks. The blank structure is a complex blend of 40T and 50T carbon to achieve a perfect balance between responsiveness and lightness. This advanced design results in a featherweight of only 38 grams, significantly reducing fatigue during long fishing sessions. Thanks to the “Lite Joints” ferrules, the fast action of the blank remains smooth across all four sections while also making section replacement easier if needed.
Handling and discretion in small waters
Specifically developed for Euro nymphing, this 10-foot model excels where longer rods become cumbersome. Its compact format allows precise casts under overhanging vegetation and precise control of the nylon leader in tight currents. The Armor Resin technology effectively protects the carbon against accidental impacts from weighted nymphs, ensuring remarkable durability in the field. Finally, the matte X-Ray finish not only eliminates reflections but also reduces line adhesion to the blank in wet conditions.
