Product description
Our take on the Gunfish 115
For us, this is THE stickbait to pull out when you need to find fish far away and the surface is rough. It flies like a bullet, walks very wide and stays stable when the wind picks up! A true search topwater.
At a glance
- Length: 115 mm (11.5 cm)
- Weight: 19 g
- Buoyancy: floating, surface lure
- Action: very wide glide (skating) with a light popping effect
- Body: tapered, with a cup-shaped mouth
- Weighting: resin and tungsten alloy beads
- Saltwater (SW) version of the Lucky Craft range
A stickbait that casts far and searches a lot of water
A 19 g lure that casts like a bullet
The Gunfish 115 is 115 mm long and weighs 19 g. Inside, resin and tungsten alloy beads weight the body. So it casts like a bullet.
You reach big distances. That is what makes it the search stickbait par excellence, to locate fish over vast stretches of water.
A wide action that pops and handles chop
The tapered body and cup-shaped mouth give a particularly wide walking the dog action, known as skating. Compared with the SW Sammy, the Gunfish also pops while it walks.
And when the wind picks up? It is more stable on the water and copes well when the surface ripples. So we reach for it first in these situations:
- Steady wind and a surface ruffled by ripples
- Vast stretches of water to search
- Looking for sea bass, the purpose of this SW version
That said, it is a surface lure and nothing else. If the fish stay stuck on the bottom, it will not go down to get them. It finds the fish, but it does not search the depths.
