A Guide Train Designed Specifically for Nymphing

The performance of an 11-foot nymphing rod depends largely on the quality and layout of its guide train. For this Signature model, we selected a high-performance 13+1 guide configuration featuring a low-positioned Titanium Torzite stripping guide to minimize line sag between the reel and the first guide. This setup ensures superior line flow and significantly reduces friction during casting and while managing drifts in current. The 316 stainless-steel single-foot guides offer outstanding durability while keeping weight to a minimum, preserving the blank’s natural responsiveness and recovery speed.

Ergonomics and Grip of the Carbon Handle

Fishing medium and large rivers requires constant control over long distances, and the carbon handle on this Prodigy excels in that role. Beyond providing exceptional resonance for transmitting the slightest contact and bottom vibrations, it also delivers excellent grip, even in wet conditions. The down-locking reel seat further enhances ergonomics by shifting the rod’s balance point toward the butt section. The result is a perfectly balanced tool that eliminates tip-heaviness—an invaluable advantage during long sessions with an outstretched arm. With a reel loaded with monofilament weighing approximately 140 g, the balance point sits ideally between 2 and 3 cm ahead of the end of the grip. This combination of technologies makes the rod a highly precise instrument for dedicated Euro nymphing anglers.
