Product description

The WKS Lighthouse 1062-4 joins the Prodigy Workshop Series as a technical answer to the specific demands of competitors on the fly-fishing circuit. This 10'6" #2 blank has been developed to become the benchmark tool for tight-line nymphing, offering outstanding liveliness. Its length is the perfect balance between precise drift control and the manoeuvrability required when casting. Precisely tuned, it excels with 2.8 mm and 3.3 mm tungsten beads, while still allowing you to go down to 2.4 mm or up to 3.5 mm depending on the needs of the spot.

The guide train is built around a Fuji Torzite T2 stripping guide and Rodbuilders’ Republic R-SFG316 tunnel guides (316 stainless steel with Titanium plating). The build has been strategically adjusted: the stripper is positioned 30.5 cm from the end of the handle, a distance that prevents the line from forming a belly and guarantees direct tension. Built on the spine with single-foot guides, this choice reduces the number of wraps and the amount of epoxy, preserving the original action and the crisp feel of the blank.

The aesthetics and ergonomics have been reworked for modern competition use. The Top Flor cork handle has a specific, shorter 17 cm profile, ideally suited to semi-automatic reels. The reel seat with its wood insert and Rodbuilders’ Republic engravings completes this performance-focused package. Under load, the blank reveals a smooth, continuous curve, with a progressive action that helps reduce fish losses and secure every fish right to the net. Supplied with its cordura tube and protective sock.
