Wire Sizes
On our site, you will find several wire sizes:
- Size A : Ideal for Blanks Fly or Carna Light (up to 30g).
- Size D : Recommended for more powerful rods.
At the same size, the Prowrap wire is slightly larger than the Fuji.
Color Concordance Chart

In each row, the wire number closest to the ring/grip/blank is red. If the 2 wire numbers are the same color, there's virtually no difference between them.

Tips and Techniques
Making a French flag on a rod
For a blue, white and red gradient, use :
- Fuji : NOCP 008 (Bleu) - NOCP 002 (Blanc) - NOCP 005 (Rouge)
- ProWrap : CFM 446 (Bleu) - CFM 807 (Blanc) - CFM 325 (Rouge)
Use Ephemera Silk Thread for Transparent Wrappings
Ephemera line is very fine, perfect for light Fly rods and Trout rods. To use:
- Avoid stretching it too much to avoid breaking it.
- Varnish in two stages with a fluid varnish (low or lite build), diluted 30% with methylated spirits.
- Varnish in two coats, the first diluted with 30% alcohol, followed by a second coat of undiluted varnish.
White silk thread (4096) becomes transparent when Varnishing on colored blanks.
