The story of the brand

From Cliff Fox's workshop to Fox Rage lures

Fox Rage was born within Fox International, a company founded by Cliff Fox in Essex, England. The first product to carry the Fox name, a metal bait dropper, came out of a small rented workshop in 1967. In 1982, Cliff Fox filed a patent for an adjustable-leg bedchair and renamed his company Fox International.

Long linked with carp fishing, the group then turned to lure fishing for predators. Fox Rage was launched on the European market in 2010. The brand first developed soft lures for perch and zander. It then widened its range to rods, reels, luggage and accessories.

Since 2019, Fox International has belonged to the American group Rather Outdoors, which also owns Salmo. Within the group, Fox Rage stands for lure fishing, next to the Fox, Matrix and Specialist brands. Its Predator line covers live bait and dead bait fishing, mainly for pike and zander.
