"Pura vida
Costa Rica is located on the isthmus linking North and South America. Its neighbors are Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. It is bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. With its 1,290 km of coastline, this Spanish-speaking republic has become a veritable Eldorado and a highly sought-after destination. Its exceptional biodiversity makes it a model of ecology and a pleasant place to live. To maximize your chances of fishing success, we advise you to opt for the west coast (unless you're after tarpon) and to go between November and May, during the Dry fly season. During this period, the weather is generally fine every day, so much so that anglers often don't even consult the weather forecast before heading out to sea, and some fishing guides will tell you that they've never cancelled a trip because of bad weather. Costa Rica literally means "rich coast", a name that aptly reflects the density and variety of incredible fish to be found here. Fishing is mainly by casting, particularly with the popper, but jigging is also a very effective technique. The main target species are Giant trevally, Carp, roosterfish, various jacks, amberjacks, groupers, Yellowfin tuna and rostrum fish such as swordfish and marlin. We had the opportunity to fish in Quepos with Cedric, the "Pacific Dream" fishing guide. An unforgettable experience that we highly recommend.Matching blanks
