Perfect for breaking your record

Sea bass are much less wary at night, and don't hesitate to move closer to the shore to feed. They therefore take the place of smaller individuals, a godsend for all shore anglers. These big fish will be much more attracted by easy prey, requiring little movement and therefore lower energy loss. You can trigger attacks by fishing slowly, very slowly and therefore... Light! The most commonly used combos are 4 to 5 inch soft lures mounted on 5 or 7 g Texans, but it all depends on the spot. Start configuration

Matching blanks

For the rest of the time, we advise you to take it out as little as possible and, if necessary, with your back to the fishing area. After a few minutes in the dark, your eyes will become accustomed to the faint light, which is enough to spot you. This is blind fishing where you can't see your line. That's why you need a blank that will transmit the maximum amount of information thanks to its sensitivity (to feel the vibrations of the tail) but also its resonance (to understand the bottom). So you can feel when your lure hits the bottom or when you've hooked a weed.
When fishing from shore, we need a minimum length. A size between 2m20 and 2m40 is the best compromise for estuary fishing. This gives you sufficient casting distance and length to avoid line abrasion on rocks, while keeping your tackle light and sensitive. Depending on your fishing area and the spots you fish, power reserve will also be an important factor. When fishing a vein of water lined with pebbles or an oyster bed, the fish will systematically seek refuge in the current or under the tables.

  1. Rodbuilders' Republic PPS72M: A sensitive, resonant blank with an incredible price/performance ratio. Ideal for fishing that requires resonance.
  2. Rodbuilders' republic Statement 724 Original 2m18, 5-25g: The ultimate weapon when you have to rely solely on the sensitivity of your rod. For Bottom bouncing and Straight retrieve fishing, it's a must!
  3. NFC MB 805-1 HM 2m43, 10-30g: A longer blank for poorly paved or remote areas. It's also more powerful for slightly heavier fishing in areas where there's current or even very light drift and lift. And with plenty of reserve power for reeling in with authority a fish that wants to give you a hard time...

Compatible guides

We offer 3Guide packs Fuji of different finishes, corresponding to different budgets and frequencies of use. The first segment of the range is occupied by theAlconite ceramic Guide and Inox frameThey offer excellent value for money and are ideal for occasional use. The frame of these Guides is made of Inox with an anti-corrosion coating. The Alconite ceramic provides good glide and a high heat dissipation rate for the braid, but take care not to spool dry fly braid onto these guides. The second level of the range is occupied by theGuides with Inox and SIC ceramic frameworks. In this Guide range, the frame is still made of coated stainless steel, but the ceramic is made of Fuji SIC, which offers better glide and greater resistance. Finally, Fuji's top-of-the-range range is represented by theTitanium-Torzite Guides. The Titanium frame is much lighter and, above all, totally insensitive to corrosion. The ceramic is made of Torzite, another Fuji proprietary material that enables the braid to glide perfectly over the ceramic. This ultra-high-performance ceramic requires less material, enabling the use of smaller tunnel guides. Less weight = greater sensitivity and performance.
