By boat or from the shore
Straight retrieve fishing for pike-perch can be done from shore or from a boat. In contrast to vertical pike-perch fishing, this technique involves casting a soft lure close to the bottom until it reaches the angler's foot. The animation is often as minimalist as possible in order to fly over the bottom as slowly as possible. This technique can be likened to Bottom bouncing from a distance or to extremely light Drift and lift fishing. In most cases, this technique is practised with soft lures between 4 and 6 inches mounted on lead heads between 5 and 25g.Matching blanks
