In summer, when it's hot, food rises to the surface to breathe a little air and eat what falls from the trees. That's when Perch and Chub go into frenzy mode. Enjoying these moments is great fun. Fishing often on sight, casting into the chases and seeing the bite before you feel it, is a real pleasure!

Matching blanks
For this type of fishing, you'll be using several different types of lure, all of which require more or less the same action from the blank. Small stickbaits of 3-4cm and a few grams, insect imitations, small poppers, even micro casting jigs. In all cases, you'll need a blank with plenty of flex and a load that's 'all on its own' to properly cast a lure that's both light and not very aerodynamic for some, but also cast it a long way to take the angler out of the fish's sight. This type of fishing can be practised in a wide variety of environments, from open ones where the blank length can be reduced to a minimum, to crowded ones where the blank size must be reduced to get under the foliage more easily. Sensitivity is less important than for other types of fishing, as you see the touch before you feel it, but the flex is important to limit stalls, which are frequent in this type of fishing.
IMPP-70UL at Rainshadow 2m13 1-5g. A blank designed for this type of fishing. The longest of the three. With a very progressive moderate action, it loads by itself whatever the weight of the lure. Certainly the most effective for casting Illex/Jackal Woodlosse, which has all the disadvantages (light and not very aerodynamic), but fishes so well on Chub... It will also be at home on small poppers and micro Casting jigs that will take you to the moon.
MB-661-HM at NFC 1m98 2-7g. A foil with a fantastic action, very flexy at the tip and progressive all the way to the tail, that will not shy away from any Perch or Chub, no matter how big or angry. Its small size means it can go anywhere.
Rodbuilders' Republic PPS62L: 1m82 2-10g. Even shorter for crowded environments, it's also a little drier in action. It will be less at ease on woodloose but a little faster on small stickbaits and will cope very well with micro casting jigs.
Please let us know the desired length between butt and reel foot so that we can adjust the rings. You can also ask us to change the color of the handle kit rings (while stocks last).
We offer 3Guide packs Fuji of different finishes, corresponding to different budgets and frequencies of use. The first segment of the range is occupied by the RingsAlconite ceramics and Inox frameworksThey offer excellent value for money and are ideal for occasional use. The frame of these Guides is made of Inox with an anti-corrosion coating. The Alconite ceramic provides good glide and a high heat dissipation rate for the braid, but take care not to spool dry fly braid onto these guides. The second level of the range is occupied by Guide with armature.Inox and SIC ceramics. In this Guide range, the frame is still made of coated stainless steel, but the ceramic is made of Fuji SIC, which offers better glide and greater resistance. Finally, the top-of-the-range Fuji range is represented by Guide rings inTitanium-Torzite. The Titanium frame is much lighter and, above all, totally insensitive to corrosion. The ceramic is made of Torzite, another Fuji proprietary material that enables the braid to glide perfectly over the ceramic. This ultra-high-performance ceramic requires less material, enabling the use of smaller tunnel guides. Less weight = greater sensitivity and performance.
