Fly rod for Trout fishing in streams and small rivers,
The Edge Archetype 763-4 is a versatile rod for small and medium-sized streams, capable of handling everything from small dries to small streamers. This rod offers a little more power, less weight and a very delicate tip, making it an excellent choice for fine leaders.

The handle of this rod has been designed with Top Flor quality cork from a family farm in Portugal that has had a relationship with Gary for decades. Guide Mike McCoy Snake Brand and blank fly NFC "LMX" unsanded and matte, accented with light blue thread Wrappings. Rod cover included.

All our rods have their Guides mounted on the blank's straightest axis. The rods sold on the Edge Rods Europe website are the genuine Gary Loomis brand. These products are handmade directly in the brand's American factories. Edge fishing rods are made of carbon, so we strongly advise against fishing in stormy weather due to the electrical conductivity of carbon.

Valeu for Money Top

Excellent rod for the price. Very light in hand, with a fast action that is crisp without being overly stiff. It is versatile and handles both short casts and longer line lengths surprisingly well. The price-to-performance ratio is outstanding.

My only minor complaint is that the hook keeper on my rod is mounted slightly off-center rather than aligned with the guides. It's not a major issue, but it makes the initial alignment during assembly a little less intuitive. I'm not sure if this is specific to my rod or a feature of all Archetype models.
