The SCA16 are carbon shims designed to be fitted into size 16 reel seats. Their purpose is to improve the transmission of vibrations between the carbon blank and the angler's hand.

SCA16 shims are designed to fit into size 16 reel seats.

Leaving a gap between the reel seat and the blank also creates a resonance chamber that amplifies vibrations. A bit like a guitar or a drum kit, for example.

This is the perfect way to amplify the vibrations.

Instructions for use:

1. Fit the SCA16s to your reel seat by sanding them down.We recommend that you use your drill as a lathe, as this will make the job easier.

2. Apply epoxy glue to the inside of your reel seat

3. Position the SCA16s inside your pm - this step is best done with a pencil, for example.

4. After your epoxy has dried completely, reamer the SCA16s to reach the intended location of your reel seat on your assembly.

These little carbon wedges may well revolutionize your Bottom bouncing assemblies by turning your reel seat into a loudspeaker!

Point of caution, we advise against using SCA16s with blanks that bend all the way into the heel, as they're likely to create too much stress when ovalizing your blank during fights.
