Silk thread is renowned in fly-rod assembly circles, particularly among assemblers of split bamboo rods, or fiberglass rods. This thread becomes translucent during the Varnishing phase, allowing you to obtain a translucent colored ligature, even completely transparent if you use white #4096.

Tips for use:
- This wire is very thin (thinner than size A), so be sure to keep moderate tension when tying.
- For rodbuidlers wishing to make a transparent Wrapping with white #4096:

Do not expose the wire to flame before Varnishing otherwise your wire will turn black.
Varnish your Wrapping in two coats, with a first coat of ?low build? fluid epoxy varnish.
