A fairly light blank in the hand, well balanced without feeling top-heavy. The action is rather smooth, with just the right amount of roundness in the return to the hand. Power rises sharply, but always smoothly, from the first third to an ideal level for a 9wt in the heel. In use, this is a very well-built rod: good liveliness with very little tip bounce, giving nice easy loops. A very good choice for those who need distance and the ability to send large streamers far into the wind. The ideal choice for all-rounder Sea bass, estuary and boat fishing. In particular, it can easily cope with silk changes, being perfectly at ease with a wf8 when you need to be discreet, but it can also power through a big shooting head. It's also a rod that will work well for Pike, especially in summer, when you don't prefer very big streamers but rather poppers/gurglers
