Fly rod for Catfish and exotic fishing.
The 9" Silk 12 rod is the best choice for tarpon weighing 60 pounds or more. This rod is designed to cast and present flies with power and precision. Because it loads a bit in the middle of the rod, it's definitely what we call a "caster's rod". This rod is designed to slow down fish like Mahi Mahi, Barracuda and GT. It's accurate for both short and long Distance casts when you see these fish patrolling the "flats".

Equipped with carbon butt and full wells handle, aluminium reel seat and Snake Brand ECO guides (Inox). Cover and case included.

All our rods have their guides mounted on the straightest axis of the blank. The rods sold on the Edge Rods Europe website are the genuine Gary Loomis brand. These products are handmade directly in the brand's American factories. Edge fishing rods are made of carbon, so we strongly advise against fishing in stormy weather due to the electrical conductivity of carbon.

Best rod money can buy

When I bought mine, I paid 452 Euro with shipping, which I considered a very good deal for such a great rod: Made in USA by not other than the father of high-performance graphite rods, Gary Loomis, only 130 grams for a 12 wt. class, carbon weave grip, so much resilient and grippy than the classic cork, exquisite reel seat, titanium stripping guides and black chrome snake guides, and a fast action that will be great for chucking big flies either to crazy-running GTs in the Indian ocean or to big pike in our colder waters in Europe. At this current price, it's a steal. NO BRAINER! No other Korean-made rods come close to Gary Loomis' creations, this man has forgotten more about carbon rods than all the other may learn in their lifetime.
