If you like the feel of IPS reel seats and you are after resonance, you will like the Seaguide IPSAHSC. It is loaded with carbon thanks to HSC technology, and it weighs only 18 g. The fins you can ream are the big plus!

13 to 15.5 mm: an inner diameter that adjusts to your blank

A 13 mm inner diameter, adjustable up to 15.5 mm

The inner diameter of this reel seat is 13 mm. But there are fins inside, and you can ream them. So you can go up to 15.5 mm without any fuss. Here is what to do depending on your blank.

• Blank under 13 mm: take a 16WG shim to fill the gap.
• Blank between 13 and 15.5 mm: ream the fins to the right diameter.

These fins are also made of carbon. So you can glue the reel seat directly to the blank, and you gain resonance. On the other hand, beyond 15.5 mm the blank will not fit, so you will need another model.

HSC technology: carbon that lets the blank speak

HSC stands for Hyper Sensitive Carbon at Sea Guide. It is a reel seat manufacturing technology that uses a specific carbon fibre moulding process. The aim is a light, strong assembly that is particularly sensitive to the vibrations of the blank (the body of the rod). The result is higher sensitivity than a graphite reel seat. It is also stronger and lighter.

And what about fitting? Nothing complicated. The thread is compatible with Fuji KDPS16, and IPS grips fit on it. The WCLN quick lock is also compatible, and it assembles easily. To close the thread neatly, there is the B-WC16 ring.
