The Vanford's sensitivity is the result of the MGL rotor, which, along with the body, is designed from Shimano's exclusive Ci4+ composite material. This is also why the reel feels so light in the hand. Internally, the HAGANE Gear, MicroModule II, X-SHIP and Silent Drive work harmoniously together to deliver smoothness and sufficient power. The addition of the Long Stroke Spool enhances casting performance, especially when using smaller sizes with ultra-light lures. If you prefer to fish with large soft lures or crankbaits, take a look at Vanford's larger sizes, which come with a range of equipment options, including High Gear (HG) and Extra High Gear (XG). With 14 different options, Vanford's reasonably priced model is a legend in the making.
