Pollock

Pollock can be caught in a variety of ways. This species can be caught by lure, troll or Live bait. Although fishing from shore is possible, most anglers target Pollock from boats, as the larger individuals tend to prefer cold deep waters.

For Pollock fishing from a boat, the recommended blank length depends on the technique used. For vertical fishing, 6.6' (1m98) blanks are generally preferred, while 8' (2m43) blanks are also popular for soft lure and live bait fishing.
