The mandrel on a rodbuilding machine acts as a link between the motor and the rod to facilitate varnish drying.

Installing a motor on your Assembly bench allows you to run the rod for 6 to 8 hours while the varnish dries. This results in a smoother, more uniform finish.

There are several ways to keep your wire under tension during Wrapping. You can use springs on either side of the spool, magnets to emit continuous tension, or the CRB tension antenna to maintain tension during binding.
