For fly fishing, single-legged guides are generally preferred for the first large ring(s), followed by single-legged or serpentine guides for the rest of the rod. The size and number of guides vary according to the power and length of the rod. Please refer to the Guide packs for specific advice.

Guide spacing is usually detailed in ring packs, and further information can be found on the Rodhouse forum. In addition, the blank product sheet may contain a recommended spacing chart section, although this is not systematically described on all blanks product sheets.

Yes, it is possible to fit fly rods with ceramic guides, especially with the lightweight Titanium Torzite finish. This can be interesting from #5 line upwards, particularly to improve glide.
