To determine the reamer diameter required, look at the butt size of the blank. Reamers are conical files with a 3 mm pitch (6 to 9 / 9 to 12 / 12 to 15 / 15 to 18). If the butt of the blank measures, say, 16 mm, all reamers will be required.
